Working in groups of two or three, we were each assigned a "wicked problem" to solve. My group, consisting of myself, Mark Meardon, and Charlene Lertlumprasert, were presented with the problem of loneliness among the elderly. After extensive research we isolated one aspect of the problem, social isolation, and created a product to help combat it.

Home is a home-sharing platform aimed at seniors living alone and is rooted in the idea of creating a more meaningful connection between the host and traveler. Users are matched with hosts based on location, pricing, availability and personal traits like hobbies and interests. After selecting a home, travelers can choose to help hosts with tasks around the home or errands in exchange for discounted rates. This gives a reason for interaction between the host and traveler, creating an opportunity for a deeper connection.
